The club would like to thank the following members who helped with the snow clean up Tuesday in the frigid temps so we could open FSA. A big thanks to Bill Henggler, Greg Volz, John Semmel, Jerry Gruenemeier, Mark Klusmeier, Jeff Salmon and Ron Franks.

/in Uncategorized/by Mark KlusmeierAll FSA Members are reminded that the annual club leadership election will take place at the February membership meeting on February 8, 2026 at 11:00 am in the Education Building. Watch your mail for a ballot (currently being printed) and be sure to fill it out and either mail it in early, or bring it to the meeting! We have more than 1500 members; we often get just a couple of hundred ballots returned. YOUR VOTE COUNTS! Please cast it!
Also at that meeting we’ll have the chance to hear again from Bob Beckman, FSA member running for NRA Board of Directors. Come and bring your questions; he’s ready to talk about what’s been done and what’s left to do to clean up that organization and restore it to it’s proper quality!
AND, in the meantime, be aware that the ballots for the NRA election are beginning to come out (usually in the center of your NRA magazine). FSA’s Membership voted several months ago to endorse Bob Beckman’s candidacy for NRA Board. If you’re a Life Member of NRA or an annual member with enough years of longevity in NRA, you’ll get a ballot and be entitled to vote. Please vote for Bob Beckman!
IMPORTANT MEMBERSHIP MEETING THIS SUNDAY
/in Uncategorized/by Mark KlusmeierAll FSA Members are requested and encouraged to attend a particularly important monthly Membership Meeting THIS SUNDAY January 11, 2026 at 11:00 am in the Education and Training Building. Apart from the free coffee and donuts (and the opportunity to win the $100 monthly attendance prize):
We’ll hear from FSA Member Rob Beckman, currently running for NRA Board of Directors, who will speak to us about the current state of the NRA, especially as to leadership, and will explain his positions and aims if/when elected. He’ll be open to questions as well, so if you have concerns, please bring them up. The FSA Membership has already voted to endorse Rob in his run — come out and support him — and DON’T FORGET TO VOTE when you get your NRA ballot!
We’ll also have the opportunity (the second and final one) to nominate FSA members for election to the various Board positions for 2026. This is your best opportunity to have an impact on the course of the club. Think about who you think would make a good leader, and consider nominating them. PLEASE BE AWARE, that anyone nominated must either be present to accept the nomination in person or must have already expressed consent to stand for election and serve if elected. So — make a point to talk to those you want to nominate ahead of time. AND, make sure you vote in the club election next month as well.
Come out and hear Rob, express your views, and be heard! The club runs best when everybody’s voice is heard!
ATTENTION FSA MEMBERS WITH FUSE, ZOOMTOWN, OR FIOPTICS EMAIL ADDRESSES:
/in Uncategorized/by Mark KlusmeierAll FSA Members who have fuse.net, zoomtown.com or fioptics email addresses are urged to be sure that fsamembership@gmail.com is listed in your “preferred senders” or “email whitelist”. Altafiber has apparently decided that they don’t like us much; consequently, unless we are listed in your whitelist, the company will label our membership emails as spam and prevent their delivery to you. We have announced this before, both here and live in meetings, but apparently some members don’t have the word yet and are asking about their renewal emails. PLEASE whitelist us NOW. Second notices will be coming out in a week or so; don’t miss yours!
