All muzzle loading weapons will be capped or primed only after the shooter is at the firing line, in position to fire. |

The pistol range is divided into two independent ranges by a concrete wall. Each side is approximately 85 feet in length. There is room for ten to twenty shooters on each side of the range dependent on the size frames used and / or match type.

Both sides of the pistol range are fully covered. You can shoot in any weather except for when the range is posted "CLOSED." Tables are available for the use of shooters.

All shots must be fired at paper targets posted on cardboard held in the target frames and stanchions provided by FSA. Large and small steel target frames are available. The small frames use cardboard sized 21" x 24" and the large frames use cardboard sized 35" x 45". These frames are to be used at the 25 yard and 50 yard lines. Targets must be placed at a height that will permit all shots to impact directly into the butts.

There shall be no cross-firing. (Target three shall be fired at from firing point three, etc.).

There are matches of every type throughout the year. Some of the matches are as follows: Friday Night Steel - Falling Plates – IPSC – Hot Shots – OPCPA 1500 Point NRA Pistol – Bullseye – Steel Plates – PPC – CCW – HCPA - Fun Matches – the best attended match is the Polar Bear Match held every January. |

Always check the calendar for matches and times before making a trip to the range. Ranges are usually closed to open shooting an hour before a scheduled match for setup etc. and an hour afterwards for cleanup etc. Some matches necessitate that both sides of the range be closed due to NRA rules even though only one side is being used for a match.

There is heated and air conditioned building available for FSA members to clean their guns, get a drink of water, to congregate et cetera. Turn off the lights, air or heat when leaving the building and keep it cleaned and locked.
